Excellent Long Life Filters

These filters have never let me down. We live in an area where water tastes and smells funny. We only drank bottled water until we bought a fridge with a water and ice dispenser in the freezer door. These filters remove the funny taste and odor directly from the water. They last 2-4 times longer than stated on the packaging. We probably get out of the filter cartridge for at least a year. Do you always know when the water starts to taste sweet that it's time to change the filter? I'm not sure…

Pros
  • SAME GREAT FILTER, New Look: We have updated our packaging. Look out for our berry design with our new genuine filter seal on the box to be sure your filter is genuine and sold by Frigidaire. During the transition the packaging may change from blue to berry
Cons
  • Not bad but...

So impressed! in water filters

I never write reviews but I had to go back to the right one for these filters! I've lived in my house for 7 years now and I've never changed the filter in the fridge... gross I know! Honestly, I figured it would be more of a chore to go to the hardware store, figure out what filter my fridge needs, and so on. So I just never did it. And my house is 15 years old so I don't know if the filter was ever changed before I got one. One night I decided to search for Revain and accidentally came across…

Pros
  • Filters out up to 99% of contaminants: Reduces taste and odor from chlorine, Class I particles, cysts, lead, mercury, pesticides, insecticides, BPA, asbestos, pharmaceuticals and more

  • boring packaging

What you need to know when buying these types of water filters

Firstly I have ordered these PureSource filters several times (2015-2016) and they are Frigidaire original OEM filters. They come in a box labeled Frigidaire along with a performance sheet on the filter. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE BRANDS AND MOST OTHER BRANDS: These OEM filters meet two water filtration certification standards, specifically ANSI/NSF 42 and 53. They can only be certified to ANSI/NSF 42, which basically means that the water doesn't have an unpleasant taste . This primarily…

Pros
  • NSF 42, 53, and 401 Pollutant Filtration Certification: Tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI 42, 53, and 401 standards in PureSource Ultra II - U and PureSource Ultra II — M to reduce spec sheet requirements
Cons
  • Volume
