🌧️ Water-Resistant Reflective Rain Pant by Frogg Toggs: Ideal for the Road Toad Review

I used them again for the second time today. The air temp gauge on my bike read at least 36°F while commuting to work, and of course the wind chill drops even further while riding. They kept the tops of my legs warm (it was a cold spot for me even though I had a full fairing) and they're relatively easy to put on and take off. I have them in stock but even at full price they are a good deal. I haven't ridden them in the rain so I can only appreciate the warmth.

They're good for moderate rain, you'll still get wet on a long drive in heavy rain. Also the heat resistant part is the silver on the inside of the legs. It works really well and doesn't melt when it comes into contact with my Harley's pipes. What can not be said about the black material of the rest of the pants. So if you stop and get off the bike and then lean on the exhaust pipe to get things out of your saddlebags, you're still melting the stuff and getting black sludge on the chrome pipes.

I bought these togg pants because my other frogg togg pants blew over my pipes on my bike! on the inside of the leg. I ordered them because I had a long motorcycle trip planned and it might rain heavily. I received them the day before my departure. That's a good thing, because after 2 hours we were surprised by a torrential downpour with HAIL! Long story short, I went on a three day trip and the rain pants kept me dry. These were interchangeable frog gags. like i had others for 4 years. the last pair finally broke on the trip. In the past, old frog gags had to be glued to the inside of the leg with a heat-insulating layer. it was a bit messy and painful. They have a built in protective layer on the inside of both legs. Haven't tested rain and I don't live in a seasonally moderate to very "wet" place, I usually avoid rain when I can during long motorbike rides. I was more interested in a good size and some insulation to wear on chilly mornings and evenings, which I think is somewhere between 40-50F, than wearing my regular winter pants. The pants turned out to be new, with tags, were in the package. But they had something like animal hair. I took off as many as I could and then used rolled tape to get the rest out. Getting a repackaged product is not a problem. But I don't have pets and I don't like removing pet hair from new clothes. big, roomy enough but not too baggy. These Frogg Toggs 'Road Toads' offer excellent protection when riding your motorcycle in the rain. My last pair didn't have thermal protection on the inside of the legs and lasted over 10 years. These waterproof pants are much better for my use than the old rubber pants (or something like that) they replaced. They take up about half the space and I hardly sweat in them. Now in Panama (country) I need a raincoat to carry with me at all times and withstand the tide.
