They work like a charm. Our mulch no longer washes away in a heavy downpour. Installing two of these took 5 minutes. Very quick and easy.

It didn't work as advertised. They fell back and water poured down from above. The block would not unroll and the "open" end would not open. He gave us a piece of stick to hold it open so at least a bit of water wouldn't prop up. Unfortunately I bought 6 to have a spare. Don't waste money on it

Sounds like a good idea in theory, but in reality there's either not enough rain to pull them out fully, or they fill up with leaves and debris. from the roof. We tried them in various ways, unfortunately after the return date, but never got them to work for us. I ended up just using what was left of the gutters to channel water away from the house.

The product was very easy to install. I would recommend purchasing something stronger than the supplied plastic zip tie to secure the item to the downspout. I like the fact that it's out of the way when it's not raining. BUT, there have been 3 heavy showers so far and this element has not worked properly yet. I had to go out and expand it myself. I'm looking for an alternative.

I didn't like the fact that they were made out of "heavy duty vinyl" meaning they weren't designed to be installed on downspouts in a downspout house were not enough to open it, even in a heavy downpour, and the water flows out. Perhaps if you attach a "fire hose" the pressure and force of the water will open it and the water will flow. A real waste of money for us, they didn't work as advertised.

Appears to be of good quality but the springs used to roll up the case are too strong as they do not fully relax when water enters. With heavy rain and a lot of water, it did not unfold fully or even close, which robbed the purpose of preserving it. I've tried removing one of the springs (one on each side of the hub) and it rolls out much easier, but still not completely. I wish I could return them (I bought 2) but as I removed one of the feathers I can't return them.
