Go in the bowl! Suitable for coffee, tea and espresso

Love the craftsmanship, goes very well with my matcha set. Blends smoothly and retains enough heat to keep up with traditional matcha preparation.

Pros
  • Dishwasher and microwave safe. Lead free
Cons
  • Can be damaged

It's not exactly Japanese

Although it's called a traditional Japanese matcha bowl, it isn't. This bowl is made in China and looks like it was made in Japan. I'll send it back immediately.

Pros
  • A handmade ochawan or matcha bowl commonly used in the Japanese tea ceremony
Cons
  • There are flaws

Beautiful well finished bowl

I don't usually write many reviews but thought I'd write about this bowl as I haven't had a review yet . I would highly recommend this bowl - it is well made, beautiful and very reasonably priced. I love the color and its unique character.

Pros
  • Made with reactive glaze which gives each piece a unique and eye catching look
Cons
  • Compatibility

Fantastic matcha bowl

Beautiful product, exactly as pictured. The transition from blue to white is more defined on the outside and more pronounced on the inside, but occurs in roughly the same place in both cases. The glazing is of high quality, without irregularities and defects. It feels smooth and comfortable in my hands. Its dimensions correspond to a matcha bowl: approximately 4.5 inches in diameter and 3.25 inches in height. Your chaizen will have plenty of room to flog. The slightly jagged rim gives your lips

Pros
  • Color may vary slightly from photo as each piece is handmade
Cons
  • Negative impression
