great camera! good for camera and photo

I bought a new x-e1 and I'm thrilled! this is an amazing camera. If you can't afford the Fuji X-E2, buy this one. it's just as good! Pros: Coming from old-school 35mm film cameras, you'll appreciate the design. The pictures are excellent, even better than expensive top cameras. Most importantly, Fujifilm doesn't give up their best cameras because a new model has come out, they are constantly updating the firmware to improve them. Cons: It might not be for hardcore sports photographers. but if…

Great camera - digital cameras

Great camera. I was very impressed with the camera's size and feel in relation to its image quality. I'm a big fan of direct controls rather than the PASM+ scene mode wheel as it better suits the photography techniques I'm learning and allows me to adjust the camera whether it's on or off. I also like the look of the thing. People don't seem to see the big "professional" camera that allows me to take more natural shots. I wish it had better manual focus assist (tip focus Fuji please) and longer

Cheap But Good - Digital Cameras

There's no shortage of great reviews for Fuji XF lenses, but excellence comes at a price - they're well out of the reach of many enthusiasts. Anyone who already has a Nikon system, wants to try or use Fuji technology in their cameras, but doesn't want to miss out on another brand of glass (well, they can) might consider the Fuji X-E1. Body and an adapter from a Nikon F or G lens to a Fuji X body. Yes, there is no autofocus, but Fuji has made it realistic to use manual focus on the X-E1 by…

Cost Saving Experiment

If you've been thinking about switching to APS-C mirrorless cameras from your smartphone or DSLR, this is a good deal. Used bodies are cheap, and since they're built like a tank, they should work just fine (if not abused). The same goes for lenses ("although I wouldn't call the 16-55 a tank, the 18-55 and 18-135 are definitely built as one"). And they'll still come in handy if one day you decide to upgrade to the XT1 or XT10, or whatever else comes to mind next time. I found the XE-1 to be…

This is very different from DSLR so expect a learning curve. You won't pick it up and shoot as casually as you would with your DSLR, but once you get to know it and get used to it, you'll find it's an amazing camera. The JPEG image quality is excellent. I went from shooting in RAW with a Canon DSLR to shooting in JPEG with this mirrorless camera. I do a lot less post-processing because I get great JPEGs straight out of the camera. The movie simulations are really good. The low light…
