The lens is very good, one of my favorite and inexpensive from Fujifilm. A bit dark, but for the street during the day it gives just gorgeous shots. Very sharp, without soap on the entire range of focal lengths. The stabilizer is excellent, it allows you to shoot at 230 mm at shutter speeds less than 1\60s. I am very happy with the CX 50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS lens for my Fujifilm XT-1 even though it is a used camera like the new one I received . It works well, the picture is clear, the colors are wonderful, it's also suitable for a portrait. I saved half the price of the camera by buying a used but in very good like new condition.

This is clearly not the fastest lens for this focal range and the body construction is very plasticky, but the lens has a focal length of 16-50mm. for what in my case was only $200 more for the camera body alone, the chances of exceeding value for money are slim to zero. I definitely think it's a good choice for hobbyists like me.

I use this lens with the amazing Fuji XT3. In general, this lens has decent optical quality for its price. Photos are clear, bokeh is pleasant. The lens is not too big and light for its focal range. It's mostly plastic, but feels good. The structure is also good. The zoom is very smooth and linear. This lens is low. Literally. At its long end, it's F6.7, which doesn't let through too much light.
