Description of 📸 Fujinon XF10-24mmF4 R OIS WR: Superior Wide Angle Lens for Crisp, Optimal Photography

A new weather resistant design, same optics: Some things should never change, and when it comes to the optical design of this lens, that is certainly the case. Despite being designed to be both dust and moisture resistant, the new XF10-24mmF4 R OIS WR retains the same XF lens optical designs that make them a beloved addition to any X Series user’s camera bag. XF10-24mm F4 R OIS WR lens maintains a compact form factor, edge-to-edge sharpness, and constant F4 aperture value throughout its entire range of focal lengths. It is able to do this in challenging environments and in temperatures as low as 14°Fahrenheit (-10°Celsius). Redesigned for enhanced stability: Added stability comes to XF10-24mmF4 R OIS WR lens in the form of a new, sophisticated gyro sensor that is designed to improve Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) from our previous XF lenses by 1.0 stop. This brings vibration reduction performance up to 3.5 stops, which can be further extended to 6.5 stops when it is paired with a current X Series camera equipped with an In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) feature, such as FUJIFILM X-T4. Regardless of the X Series camera it is used with, one thing is certain: with the new XF10-24mm F4 R OIS WR lens, sharp images are on the horizon. You asked, we listened: Incorporating user feedback into our products is in our DNA, so it should be no surprise that the requests for an “A-position” aperture lock and an f-stop scale be added to the lens’s aperture ring were the first things we addressed with this new XF lens design. And since we were making these changes, we also decided to take the opportunity to go one step further and also reduce the width of both the aperture and focus rings (as compared to the previous XF 10-24mm F4 R OIS lens version) by 1mm to shave 0.9 oz. (25g) off the total weight. Added practicality for less weight just seemed like the perfect trade-off in our opinion. We hope you think so too. Fast, reliable, and near-silent autofocus: Our engineers go to great lengths to make lenses that will focus accurately and quietly, while keeping lens breathing to a minimum. Whether it's being used for photo or video, the new XF10-24mmF4 R OIS WR lens is engineered to meet all of these needs. Lightweight focusing elements snap into place with the help of a high-precision motor and subjects easily remain tack sharp, with the lens reliably holding focus regardless of whether the subject is standing still or moving within the frame. max focal length: 24.0 millimeters.

The item is ok but not fully compliant with the description.

It infuriates a file with a runaway stop from 4 to 4.5 and at the same time fixing a hole on the car. It seems like a new model, but such a cant. Because of this, I put 4. And then, because of the backlash of the lens and the level of service responses, I put 3. It looks like we are waiting for a refund in court.

Pros
  • six months later - I found a backlash in the lens and the service says that this is normal. Apparently, I'm the first here, so suddenly someone will come in handy. I am an outdoor blogger, so I bought, first of all, for video under the xs10 carcass. I took a new version of the lens, in many respects, for reasons of subsequent liquidity. In general, the lens fully fulfills its tasks. At 10mm, I need to shoot myself in the studio with a tripod, or on location handheld, and this is one of the few fuji lenses that allows you to do this. Moreover, at arm's length, that is, you do not need to get up from the table every time and go to the camera, as it was from 23 and 18-55. Paired with xs10 and its spinning screen is great. Also, 10mm gives a “goprosh” angle (this is important to me), but of better quality, and paired with xs10 everything has a sane weight and you can even partially shoot movement on the mountain or reviews without ronin. At 24, you get an analogue of 35mm and you can live with it. pros - perfectly assembled, soundly and tightly. In addition to the backlash of the rear lens 😂 - comfortable rings - The lid is very well made. Straight thing :) - relatively small size and weight - picture quality and autofocus suit me completely for both photos and videos. - when zooming during video exposure jumps or BB have not yet noticed, but I'm not sure that they don't exist even with a constant aperture of 4. - Stub norms, paired with a camera is quite good, you can shoot handheld for 1/2 second or just handheld video and it will be fine. Although the stub even up to gopro 7 is like up to the moon, and after all, gopro has just a number stub that sprinkles the picture. In the xs10 camera, in addition to the matrix one, there is also a digital stub with a 10% image crop. And even in combination with an optical stub in the lens, take off your hands on the go - well, it looks so-so. Gopro is noticeably better. - Waterproof (WR). This is just a difference from the previous version and is not critical for me, although I am the same target user. In light rain or snow and regular versions behave normally. And if it’s completely tinny, then you still can’t see anything, well, or an umbrella :)
Cons
  • - after six months of use, I accidentally noticed that the glass closest to the matrix walks 1-2 mm in all directions. Support first writes that it’s intended, haha, then writes that it’s a cant, send it to us, and then says that everything is fine 🤦‍♂️ Changed 4 stars to 3 for this cant. - A strange decision to make a separate aperture lock mechanism for auto mode. It would be better if they did it on 4, although I'm not a professional, perhaps this makes some sense. - the diaphragm runs away on the sly from 4 to 4.5. And it does this literally from any random movement. 4 is not fixed. There is no click yet, the shift of the ring is only 1-2 mm, and already once - and 4.5. We must constantly monitor, several times already caught. This is just in time for the issue of locking the aperture on the machine. - a wide lens hood greatly changes the dimensions of the entire kit, and for me this is critical. As a result, I don’t use it at all: I don’t need it in the studio, and in the mountains I use freewell variable end gear, with which you can’t attach a hood. Yes, okay. It's not a minus, it's physics. - when changing the focal length while shooting a video, the exposure jumps due to the automatic compensation of this very exposure. How to fix it in xs10, I did not find. I know that some people believe that with a constant lens aperture, this should not be. But this is only for cinema lenses. - Price. It's expensive in, you have to earn in foreign currency :) I wanted to take a used one, but they aren't there yet. I had to take a new one.

Fuji's best landscape lens

Also great wide angle indoor shots and ultra wide outdoor street photography, except in low light where the XF16mm f/1.4 is much better.

Pros
  • SLR lenses
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Reliable wide-angle lens!

I use it on a Fuji XT4 and I love this lens. I didn't notice the large vignette and the photos are clear. Even in APS-C format, it's pretty wide.

Pros
  • Camera lenses
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Amazing quality, was the previous version and even it was a workhorse.

Nothing better. Took it to Europe, Asia and couldn't be happier with the results. The Fuji X-4 is your companion and they are amazing. Sharp, very little distortion and nothing like it in quality I've found. Used for years by Nikon, Canon and Sony, it's wide, sharp, weatherproof and beautiful.
