But this class of belt is truly innovative and represents a real improvement in quality, fit and appearance over the old belt buckle technology! I bought this after two SlideBelts kept getting pulled out of their buckles. At the same time, fastening the belt in the buckle is MUCH more reliable! Unfortunately, the buckle scratches more easily than the SlideBelts buckle, but I can deal with that on an otherwise perfect belt. I've lost over 40 pounds since I've had this belt and it's nice to be able to just pull the belt out, trim it, and keep using it. You don't have to buy a new belt just because you've lost weight!

I used to have an EazyBelt. It wasn't as strong as a waist belt, wasn't made entirely of leather, but was wrapped in polyvinyl or something. I like the KORE belt a lot more. I prefer the action on the EazyBelt. I can slide it to my body to free it. The KORE buckle has a latch that protrudes towards the front of the buckle, allowing it to protrude from the buckle, forcing you to pull it out of your body. The description says "full grain leather". I can clearly see some sort of outer layer that looks the same as the layers on the "real leather" belt. Not happy with the color or the little lever that opens the latch. With the other ratchet strap, all I have to do is lift the buckle.
