Fumoto F109SX M12 1 5 Drain Valve Review

So I finally needed another oil change which meant I was finally able to install a fumoto oil drain just to let it down won't leak so I pull it a little more, only the banjo bolt will break in my oil pan. 10/10 not recommended

I bought one for all our vehicles after buying several last year to drain the block for our truck when flushing the coolant. These are top notch, high quality products that make changing the oil a lot easier and less messy without the risk of twisting the drain plug.

First of all I have used these valves on all my cars and they are amazing. This makes changing the oil extremely easy and clean. As my title says, contrary to what the fumoto website says, this will not work on a 428i that comes with a plastic drain plug. This valve is too small for the drain hole

The product itself is a great idea, well made and good quality. However, this valve is too long for the BMW X5. It sticks out a good 1 inch from the hole in the skid plate! This is a big risk that it will be damaged or break off when you go over bumps. You can lose your engine! I chose this F109SX Fumoto oil drain valve for my 2017 BMW X1 because it was recommended by the manufacturer. However, its installation meant the impossibility of reliably closing the access hatch in the bottom plate. Even in the least constrained position, the oil would have flowed into the bottom plate and not into the standing pan. To prevent accidental opening, the valve has a two-piece latch.
