Bought for our bedroom. It's great for our room and we're happy with it, but I couldn't imagine it being your main entertainment center in the middle of your living room. Especially when small children are running around. It's very small and not the most durable. This can be fine for a small apartment with no children or pets. It's cheaply made, but then again cheap. Seems ok. Nothing special. For the price it lives up to expectations and I would give it 5 stars. Easy to assemble, looks good and solid. I wouldn't put a TV on it. My TV hangs on the wall above it. I was really looking forward to this as I needed a TV stand with lots of shelves for electronics. Unfortunately, the first shelf pulled out of the box (Shelf D, which is the larger bottom shelf) had STRONG damage (torn edge, exposed pulp or whatever; the 2nd picture shows it from a distance in relation to most of the board). Better than described! Bought a rounded corner espresso/black block which looks less shabby than a square block. Very happy with the overall quality and appearance. Everything is bolted, no hammer needed. Strong as a rock, won't wobble. The pipes may be plastic, but they're very strong: you'd have to drive a car over them to even dent them. Great little TV stand for the price. It's strong enough. We ordered espresso/black. The pillars are black and the shelves are blackish dark brown with a light wood grain. This will be used in an apartment for my daughters in their senior year. I just put it together very quickly (very easy, no tools required) to make sure the TV fits and all the parts are in order. I then disassembled it and put it back in the moving box so it wouldn't get scratched. LOL Remember this is a laminate over pressed
