G7 X Mark II Case Camera & Photo Review

This is literally the best thing in the world. I dropped my camera getting out of the car and panicked. Then when I checked, no scratch! I was so relieved because I know this fall would be a disaster if I didn't have it. I wish I had a rubber case to protect me when life just happens lol. The fit is also perfect for my G7x. No complaints.

I like that it protects fragile cameras from accidental bumps that could damage them. I think it's good that the protective film on the lens can be temporarily removed if necessary so as not to disturb some selfies. The fit is acceptable but not perfect. Sometimes the silicone cover needs to be pushed aside to access some controls. The protection it offers is worth the slight inconvenience.

I'm desperately looking for a silicone case to protect my G7X Mark II. I've found that a well-designed silicone case can be a "cat meow" to protect expensive photography gear. Pros: Good coverage, good protection. I've seen better silicone cases with no downsides. agree that connecting a tripod will always be a problem. I'll let you know if I'm still using the case or if I threw it away.

The case fits the Canon G7 II perfectly and is very easy to attach. You don't need instructions as it's pretty obvious. The small lens cap pops out when the lens is opened and is not visible in the pictures. It can also help reduce lens sharpness on the wide end, although I wouldn't count on it. All ports and dials are easily accessible. It doesn't do much to protect the rear screen, but it's not really designed for that. All in all a good accessory for the g7 II.

We ordered this camera for a family vacation after much research. We received it two days before departure and it doesn't work. The battery showed "full charge" but the camera turned itself off after about 30 seconds hoping it was just a bad battery we tried the replacement part that came with it had the same problem hoping we would have it on holiday we over Last night put in a new battery and SD card. Same problem. We went on holiday without a camera. Couldn't be more disappointed or saddened

The biggest complaint I have, and from 3 stars, is that you cannot use the lens ring with this case. There's a slot around the lens ring, apparently for using the lens ring, except that using such a small hole to rotate the lens ring is totally impractical. I think if you just used the auto modes it would be fine, but some of us want more control in AV, TV or M mode and the lens control wheel is becoming a must-have feature. You need to make the lens ring opening much larger for practical use.

Wow! This is perfect for my Canon G7X MII! I just unpacked it and put it in the camera. I am totally impressed with the fit and accessibility of all controls. These small cameras make me a bit nervous as I have big hands and can be difficult to hold at times. Bought the black version of this silicone case from Revain and am very happy with it. It not only offers protection in the event of a fall, but also makes the camera more comfortable to hold, so to speak. Fits my regular G7X with no problem. The lens cap works well and does not prevent the lens from extending when properly installed. Mine didn't turn on initially because the lens cap was interfering with it, but it turns out the lens cap just wasn't closed properly. It's not the most reliable, but it holds up well enough.
