Ideal for tired leaf springs

Fits Nissan D21 Hardbody 2WD Pickup. Rear ground clearance is increased enough that you can feel it in a seated position. It's a tough ride when empty, but not unbearable. Really helps with towing/pulling heavy loads.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Quality

They work really well

They work well on my Toyota 89 2wd. Maybe that will make it drive a little rougher, but it's no Cadillac, so who cares. The old shocks barely fit, even with a small load of wood. But these are much better. Would definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not bad

Install Shocks, Struts and Suspension in 10 Minutes

Toyota Pickup 1993 2wd. Installed a box of tools and work tools. The truck squatted too much for me. And bottom riding in the city and on the highway. I installed them and stiffened the rear but not to this extent, flattened the rear and stopped squatting which also helped with body roll. great product

Big shock for parts

Installed these on the front and back of my 1973 CJ5 Jeep. The only thing is they are unregulated so be prepared to deal with some oddities. Otherwise it feels like I'm riding on a cloud. The ride used to be so hard that it became dangerous. I also had to make a spacer for the rear to keep the springs from interfering with the body of the jeep. Good bye!

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Large spring dampers

I removed the leaking air dampers. I then installed new Gabriel rear shocks on my 1987 D21 hardbody pickup. The rear end was raised about 2 inches, which is fine with me. The rear suspension is much more stable with better load distribution. So far I really like these rear shock absorbers. There were no problems with the installation.

Works great but pretty stiff

I replaced burned out shock absorbers in a '91 Toyota pickup with these. So far, with about a thousand miles on them, they're holding up pretty well. However, they are very stiff when the bed is empty or lightly loaded. When I'm going uphill and hit a bump, I feel the rear wheels slip briefly before the bed falls back down. They will also raise the bed a bit when empty, maybe an inch or so. If you regularly carry a lot of stuff with you, this is a great option and easy to install. If you only…

Skeptical. But satisfied.

****Original review, update below****Yes I was very skeptical since I wrote the first review. In fact, I was skeptical about the need to be the FIRST to write a review. If you're like me on Amazon, reviews have a huge impact on what you buy and how you order. I took a risk I thought about stock shocks and a premium membership. If I don't like them after a few days, take them off and send them back. Installation was fairly easy, except that the forearm could be slid between the axle and the tear

Pros
  • special offer
Cons
  • too stupid
