The shock was fully stretched, forcing me to create a sling to keep the shock compressed during installation. I didn't have enough strength to manually compress the shock into position and couldn't use leverage in such a tight area.

I LOVE these shocks on my 2001 Durango 4WD. What did NOT impress me was the bottom bracket. Both bushings crumpled when I tightened them to the recommended 80 ft-lbs torque.
