Overpriced disappointment for coffee lovers

This product does look slick and add to a nice home and kitchen gadget. However, it falls short in making a good brew, even if you follow the instructions to a tee. The only good thing is the ease of use but that's pretty much it. It's a shame considering the price tag that comes with it. Overall, a pricey disappointment for any coffee lovers. .

Just doesn't make an acceptable espresso.

As an Italian citizen, I love my espresso and am a fan of Italian engineering and ingenuity. Gaggia Magenta has a chic look and smooth operation. Unfortunately, the plastic brew group and the supposedly conical grinder cannot grind, tamp and extract a good espresso. I tried several settings for grind, dosage, temperature and brew strength with the finest fresh, medium to dark roasted Arabica beans and desperately gave up. I am sorry to say that not a single attempt was remotely acceptable. So…
