Perfect for breathing during COVID, nice and light. The mesh lets a lot of air through. If you want to "secure" yourself from COVID, look elsewhere for a mask that can restrict (choke) airflow. N95 masks and above are the only ones that really protect you from COVID, the rest don't work so you may be able to breathe freely.

It can be comfortable and breathable. I'm a chef and I work 14 hours a day on a 700F grill. So crazy it's very hard to breathe in a hot kitchen. That helped. Ordered these for my husband who hates traditional face masks. It's a silky, lightweight, breathable fabric. Not sure if heat is a category that's part of the rating score as in the deep south where I live it's not the right time of year to even think about it. This gaiter does the job though, has washed and dried well so far and is well worth the price. We will buy more.

I sweat a lot, I washed it after the first time. I washed it with soap and water and this dark color washed off, it didn't matter as it seemed to have washed off. Oh I was wrong, I washed it a second time and more color came out, I thought it washed off the first time but it only reacts with soap. So after 10 minutes I wash it again and again with soap and water. (I know from the time because I saw the video) he was still bleeding dark dye stuff. I gave up and bought another one.

I use them as long headbands to hold long hair, protect it from the sun and dry it from sweat. I also use them to dry my hair naturally. The material is very breathable, lightweight yet durable and the stretch is soft. Most gaiters/long headbands have ties at the ends that are tight enough to mark over time.
