- Wonderful addition to any member of the family's wardrobe! Even though I'm not much of a gamer, I couldn't resist the versatility and portability of the Nintendo Switch. My son, my wife, and I play the game more frequently than my daughter, who was 6 years old when we made the purchase. My daughter prefers to play the game in portable mode. There are many games, and each one is a fantastic way to pass the time.
Pros
Pros
- The ability to play both in portable mode and in stationary mode. Image output in a hospital in 1080p. Control of both joycons and individual gamepads (even gamepads from PS4 and Xbox One will work with a suitable USB adapter), as well as, if desired and supported by the game, from a touchscreen. High quality and bright screen. A good library of games, including in terms of exclusive projects. High autonomy (for the second revision - from 4.5 to 9 hours, depending on the "heaviness" of the running application). Ease of use. Fairly fast charging. Some games (especially the old ones, from the NES and SNES collections) can be played together without buying additional gamepads (using one joystick each).
Cons
- High prices for games, especially Nintendo exclusives and AAA ports with PC (moreover, the quality of ports sometimes leaves much to be desired), however, periodically there are discounts and other promotions. At the moment, the game store, like Steam, has managed to overwhelm indies of varying degrees of badness, stuck together on the knee, up to ports from mobile devices, through which you have to make your way long and hard in the search for something to play. It should also be noted that in the Nintendo digital store, purchased games cannot be refunded, unlike game stores on PC and other consoles. Bought the game and didn't like it? Your problems. If in doubt - take the physical version of the game, there is no such problem with them, and you can resell when you get bored. Accessories aren't cheap either. Portability is somewhat relative - the prefix is rather bulky, you can't put it in your pocket. The set-top box and joycons must be handled carefully: the screen is easily scratched (especially with frequent use of the docking station, I immediately advise you to buy a protective film), and when you frequently insert / pull out of the console into the holder and back, the joycons may begin to play. You cannot connect the set-top box to a PC for direct access to a memory card, you need to pull out the card and use an external reader. The inability to connect wireless headphones without a Bluetooth adapter. Of the useful non-gaming applications, there is only YouTube, even a simple browser has not been delivered. Huge frames around the screen (it was possible to make the screen a little larger instead). Online and cloud saves - for a paid subscription.
Pros
- 1) Pleasant workmanship materials 2) The ability to control in several different ways, the joycons themselves, as such, are above all praise 3) Having multiple AAA games in handheld mode is a bit of a mindblowing thing. A full-fledged FIFA, Skyrim with you is a strong plus. 4) Nice OS
Cons
- 1) There's been a lot of whining about it, but the pricing policy is just quiet horror. Only children can put up with this, to whom the console was bought by their parents and games are also bought by them, respectively, they themselves do not lose anything. Even with the availability of funds, it’s trite “toad strangles” me to pay 4500 for a game that can be bought on a PC at a discount for 449. It's just disproportionate. 2) Nintendo Exclusives. I grew up not on the old consoles of the 90s, but already on AAA games with a good computer, but I got tired of them, I wanted something fresh and new. That's why I bought the Switch. After reading laudatory reviews in the direction of exclusives like "it seems simple, but interesting and deep gameplay is hidden under it", I pecked at this bait and was terribly mistaken. If you mainly like AAA games, or good indies, then it's easier and cheaper to play on PC/other consoles. Being spoiled by large-scale, well-developed games, it is impossible to seriously look at the exclusives that Nintendo offers (they just won't come in). The only advantage of the Switch in this case is portability, but it does not cover the shortcomings.
Pros
- Mobility, functionality, performance
Cons
- Bluetooth does not support headphones. Very expensive games, but in stock norms.
Pros
- Now you can play anywhere. A couple of interesting exclusives, Joy Cones is an interesting solution. Docking station for connecting to a TV.
Cons
- It cannot be said that the assembly is really of high quality, but it all depends on the revision. Despite the fact that I bought the console specifically for firmware, having a sufficiently large number of games, as it turned out, there was practically nothing to play, a maximum of 7-12 really good AAA games. Quite a small amount of battery, the console will not survive for any long trip without recharging, a maximum of 3 hours.
Pros
- Excellent limited color, the only edition with a recolored dock. Comes with original screen protector and carrying case.
Cons
- For the price of a regular edition? Absolutely no complaints.
Pros
- Hybridity, convenience
Cons
- Price for games
Pros
- Easy to use EVERYWHERE, in bed, car, bus, plane, bathroom. node, bath (the main thing is not to drop it into the water). It is especially convenient to play on the TV, as most games are played "cartoonish" loss of image quality (relative to PS4) is not felt.
Cons
- Pretty expensive games, given the narrow focus of the console. But The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is worth every penny, even if it's just for the sake of buying a console. And not a very wide range of games, most of them "for an amateur" (Perhaps this is not a disadvantage)
Pros
- Quite convenient in its portability, interesting solutions for connecting to a monitor / TV, appearance, Zelda
Cons
- There is no web browser, which makes the console dependent on the distribution of the Internet from your mobile, since authorization for Wi-Fi in cafes and other access points occurs through authentication in a web browser. There are no games, except for Zelda, there is simply nothing to play, and games that are offered for horse money in the shop (more expensive than retail cartridges) are inferior in content and quality to countless games on mobile phones. Additional equipment such as a second joystick is also not weak.
