I've been on Playstation since 1996, buying PS3 for purely subjective and biased reasons.
1. Small size, light weight.
2. 500 Gb. Attention! The set-top box should have approximately 450 Gb due to the fact that the OS uses the binary number system in the properties, it will show just such a volume. This is normal and even natural. Plus, the software of the set-top box also takes some space.
3. Games (for me, the exclusives of Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5).
4. controller 3. For me, this is the most familiar gamepad. On PS3, it works wirelessly via Bluetooth. It contains rechargeable batteries instead of batteries, so it can be charged by connecting to any USB connector, both on the set-top box and on any device that has this port. After a full discharge, it takes 1.5-2 hours to charge. Note! To find out the battery charge, you need to hold the PS button and all the necessary indicators will light up on the screen.
5. Multimedia center. This console has so many features that after PS2 I had to wrinkle my forehead to figure it all out. Photos, music, movies - all this can be viewed from different media or uploaded to a set-top box. Comment! If you want to illegally (yep, that is, if you don’t have enough viewing of licensed Blu-Ray or DVD) to copy a movie to the HDD of the set-top box, then get ready to look for information on the forums and deal with the limitations of the FAT32 file system (a file larger than 4 Gb will not fit on HDD set-top boxes) and the unreadability of the MKV format.
6. Internet. Free PSN service. Play games with friends online, compete in competitions, purchase games from the PS Store and more. Built-in browser with basic features, plus watching videos (including YouTube), listening to music and all that.
7. You can connect USB keyboard and mouse from PC. Greatly simplifies Internet surfing.
