Just started using them

They work great now, I removed 3 front rings and added a narrow 30 ton ring so I could get through once, report on durability but they seem to be well built.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Out of date

Good grip for $$

So far so good. I'm a 250-pound rider who's fast on the descents and slow on the way up. I converted it to a single speed setup for my Diamondback Atroz. Ride it all summer long!

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Expensive

Great set of gears and cranks for the price.

Very light weight. Good quality. Like the color. Drives well. I don't care about the inscriptions, but that's just me. I've driven them for about 500km now. No problem to report.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Danger: Transmission components

Soft metal. Poorly processed. The pedal literally *fell* off the handlebars while I was moving the bike. If I was riding and the pedal fell off I would split the frame in half, lose my balance and eat the dirt or crash into a tree. Don't buy this if you value what's between your legs.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Revainrating 1 out of 5

All 3 chainrings are useless.

Failed chain teeth. Similar to a Shimano Hyperdrive but instantly destroys your chain. Looks like the manufacturing steps were skipped and all 3 chainrings were made in different factories. Completely unsafe to use. Sharp cut edges, burrs, punching errors, all painted over. The cranks look good but are heavier than I expected. Returned the same day

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Worked on my Ecotric e-bike

I bought this for my 20" Ecotric foldable e-bike. It works great, the only thing needed is a 52 tooth chain which I bought separately from another manufacturer as these guys didn't offer one that caught my eye. The 44t crank that came with the kit caused my chain to fall off a bit so I changed the 44t to a 52t and it worked great. It doesn't have a cap like the original crank that originally came with the bike, but I snapped it on. However.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Poor Quality Connecting Rods

They're definitely not high enough quality to be called a mountain bike crank. I bought 2 sets for 2 bikes and both left cranks fell off in just a few hours. Although I installed 1 myself and 1 was installed by a professional, the square mating surface was FUBAR. The chainrings are good but not worth the money. In general I would discourage people from using square taper bottom brackets and cranks, but they are particularly bad. They may be suitable if you drive exclusively on the road.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • So far so good

Chainrings are crap.

Out of the box the connecting rods appear to be of good quality. The chainrings, on the other hand, look like they were made by first graders. I'm sure the sprockets are stamped on the assembly line, but they're complete junk. I'm pretty sure they will eat my chain once I install it. Other reviewers have said the same. Aluminum also looks very soft. Probably move out. But hey, it's by Revain, so I can't be too disappointed. I hope my old crank bolts will fit as there is no recess for the bolts.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • no.
