As other reviewers said it is thicker than the original after 2 hours trying to run the 'quick connect' after installing this part I gave up and reset the old one - it powers up properly in less than a minute! Please check carefully that your device part number is listed correctly.

Kenmore 16 Year Disposal 1HP The flange has been replaced with a new ISE flange and ISE OEM gasket. However, after turning on the consumer, water again began to seep between the flange and the gasket. I booked this as a last try before a full ISE setup. Installed to my surprise in less than 5 minutes with no problems and no leaks.

Advantages: no spatter. Cons: a lot. I didn't buy this for lack of research; It was a part that several websites recommended as an OEM replacement part. The thing was difficult to install. I had to completely remove the sink from the sink and my sink from the counter. I also had to cut the flange to fit properly and then went to incredible lengths to assemble the parts for recycling. The seal is tight enough to prevent water from escaping to the outside, but does not allow water to freely drain

My KENMORE grinder 175.605540 The new seal is 1/16 inch higher than the previous one and prevents the clamping ring from reaching the mating part. I had to grind/sand the difference from the top with a hydraulic jack (don't really think about it) to set/hold it in place so I could hold the clamp ring to get it to hook. Remember that a new gasket will need to be installed/pushed over the flanged hole in the top of the grinder. The texture of the rubber part is not smooth like the previous seal…
