It drains all the liquid while retaining the leaves, producing a rich and smooth tea. The only downside is it may not work for fine-ground powders like matcha. Overall, I am happy with my purchase!

I was so happy to find this teaspoon to use for sipping loose tea. It's so beautiful that it's a solid metal spoon with no wood or wire mesh to rust. I used it every day while enjoying tea. The only problem is when my mug is smaller I can't tell when it's full so sometimes I overfill my mug but that's my fault.
