I've been eating old recipes for these bars for years. It took me a long time to find such a great bar - great taste, high protein, low sugar, no dairy etc. I ordered my monthly boxes and they were rotated. Now they should be called crunch bars — almonds or whatever, so big they taste like crunchy rice treats and give the bars an odd texture. I just spoke to the manufacturer's rep and they told me this bar has been changed! I am very sad to hear this as the bar was absolutely perfect the way it was. It tasted great and had some high saturated fats, but I put up with it. Organic palm kernel oil has been added to the new formula. That's also an extra gram of saturated fat and 2 grams less sugar. When I tried these Garden of Life bars, I expected a chalky pea flavor and the usual hard, sticky toffee consistency that sticks to your teeth like most bars.
