I've had it for 1-2 years now, the ballist just blew out ($22 at Revain) The device works great, catches 50 flies a month in the summer.

This machine, while very efficient, does not last very long. I need to replace all my Acct units with another brand as they last about a year at most.

Very big and very bright. We could probably use half that size for our 2000 square foot coffee shop. But it gets rid of flying insects. I rarely see it, but the sticky trap inside shows it's really needed.

I had an earlier model of this Gardner fly trap and it has lasted for several years. I discarded the erroneous pear reviews and ordered a new one when it died after a long, reliable life. My new one only lasted a few weeks when it broke. Now I have 30 glue boards and not a single trap. I don't want to order another one.

I was skeptical about the cost of this item - I saw it on the walls of shops and restaurants - but I still decided to buy it for my house and the little fruit flies that sometimes pop up in my kitchen. So far I'm not happy that the product came with a screw unscrewed and a metal rattle inside. I understand and check. This is disappointing!

This flashlight works great, I don't like that it is recommended to mount it below eye level, we mounted it high so people don't see the sticky pad full of bug corpses. I have to explain to people that this is not a "bug killer", it attracts flies and if they land in it they get stuck and die a slow, painful starvation. But it's effective!

This thing caught 47 flies the first night we used it. However, placement is by far the most important factor in this unit's effectiveness. Make sure you place it in an area that illuminates a large area, otherwise you won't be able to capture much. I only gave it 4 stars because I think this device is overpriced, but I couldn't find many alternatives that look as good.
