Hit or miss how long they will last.

Bought 2 of these for my Garmin GPS less than 6 months ago. Put one on the front, one on the back and voila! Great reception, good lines to line things up when you drive to them but one has already come out with less than 5 months of use.

Pros
  • High test results for grip and durability
Cons
  • Weight

BE CAREFUL! Great camera but only for adding to an existing camera

BEWARE! This camera is ADD ONLY and will not work alone. It is wireless but does not include a power cord on the side of the WiFi receiver required for operation. Had to spend an extra $$$ to get a receiver cable. If you only need 1 rear camera, please buy another bc30 pack.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Unfortunate Disappointment

I like this item but I dislike it if it's only 1/2 of what I need. I know it was an extra item but still almost $100 for a transmitter and camera. and do not want to work properly, this item is a complete failure, who knows, getting the cable can still become a failure, waste of time and money, very frustrated

Pros
  • Slim Design
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Unusable for reversing camera

Unusable! You can't see what's behind you until the subject is less than 8 feet from the camera. It has a fisheye camera that cannot be used from behind. I don't know anything about what this camera can be used for. I called Garmin through Revain and they were aware of the issue and a lot of people have complained about it but refused to put in a $15 backup camera to help me. The person I spoke to was terrible. Do not buy this product and do not expect to be able to use it. Jimmy Anderson

Caravan Camera

The pairing process between camera and display is very easy if the camera is installed according to the instructions. I have a 28ft bumper trailer. I set the preset (camera 1) to the rear license plate. The position is ideal for aligning the towball with the towbar. The camera is fine during night communication. When the camera and tow bar are in the shade on a bright, sunny day, the image on the display is almost black. My first station setting on a caravan was wrong. However, if you follow…

Poor picture quality but they work and do what I need.

Easy to install and set up. Image quality is poor, worse in low light conditions. I was surprised by the poor picture quality. I expected more from Garmin. They tried to blame the installation but I had a receiver in my jeep 3 feet from the receiver and I pointed it straight at it. I bought a second one for the back of my small RV. Image quality doesn't differ between the two, despite the second camera being 15 feet further away. However, I would still buy them. The ease of use and the ability…

Pros
  • The best in its niche

I was also amazed at how you can customize the guides.

Mounted on the back of my 32ft RV. Used their 50ft extension cord and mounted the transmitter to the front of the RV. It takes a few seconds for the GPS to switch to the rear camera, but after my three and a half week vacation we've just returned from about 3,000 miles this thing has saved my ass a couple of times. This allowed me to shoot my rig in places I would not have dared without this camera as it was too dangerous to mount and for anyone who could get out to guide me back. The camera is
