floats: GPS Accessories

Now I know it floats but what happens if you pull it out of the boat or my arm off a branch or whatever, the strap on the unit snaps and All you have left is buoyant cord

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Not sure if In Reach+ floats

I'm skeptical but my Garmin In Reach+ weighed 9 ounces. I then tested the line to see how much weight it could hold in fresh water, it sank with a 5 ounce weight. Unless the In Reach floats more easily due to the air trapped within, this line is not keeping the In Reach+ afloat.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Vulgarity

I had to walk this path when I opened my bag and my inReach fell 15 feet. The temperature was about 52 degrees. The next hour wasn't fun at all. It was smaller than I expected, so the first thing I tested was with the cable attached to my Garmin. This is more than advantageous for Garmin inReach. A good product.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Disappear

It is durable and of excellent quality

It is a little uncomfortable, the rope is a little longer but makes your gear more visible and floating. Strong good quality at the same good price as Chinese copies.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Only available in white
