Description of Garmin Forerunner 225 Certified Refurbished

WRIST-BASED HEART RATE - Run without a strap - the Forerunner 225 uses a built-in sensor to measure heart rate at the wrist. GRAPHIC INTERFACE - A colorful gauge shows your zone at a glance: warm-up (gray), easy (blue), aerobic (green), threshold (orange) or maximum (red). GPS - GPS-enabled, Forerunner 225 provides accurate distance and pace data. You can also view your run on a map when you upload to Garmin Connect. ACCELEROMETER - A built-in accelerometer provides distance and pace data when you're running indoors, with no need for a separate foot pod. ACTIVITY TRACKING - It doubles as a watch and activity tracker. Count steps, calories and distance throughout the day. The move bar with vibration alert motivates you to move when you've been sitting too long. (sleep monitoring as well).

As long as it works like a champ

Looks like new, no defects. While you work like a champ. I'm still learning how to program it for gym workouts, but the key features for me were visibility (good lighting), comfort (very comfortable to wear), heart rate monitoring, and water resistance. I was also pleased with the easy connection and vibrating alert. I will try to provide a six month update on this review.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Unreliable

Pretty big on a narrow wrist, GPS wasn't clear when cycling outdoors, when cycling, my wrist can accidentally press the buttons, if you don't keep your wrist perfectly straight, it's just annoying. Brought it back for the Vivoactive HR with great results: the VHR has better battery life, a color touchscreen and a slimmer fit.

  • practical item

Love this Garmin Best Among Activity & Fitness Trackers

I love the Forerunner 225. I needed to replace my old Forerunner 205 after years of use and was looking for something specifically designed for running. The data from this Garmin is great. I get pace, cadence, stride length, heart rate, elevation, elapsed time. everything I need to improve my running. The battery life is incredible. I just put it on the docking station to sync. I received a refurbished model. It was a lot cheaper and I couldn't tell it apart from a new model from the factory.

  • Enjoyable

  • Great Price

I had to do some homework before purchasing these wats.

I've only had a Garmin watch for a few weeks. At that time it was used several times for sporting purposes, mainly for cycling (which is not intended for that). Anyway, I can't compare it to my watch at the same time, so I mostly rely on my filling. I penalized the GPS for not showing speed as accurately while driving, not just at the start. It takes a long time to update to the right speed. Another thing is the heart rate monitor, sometimes it gets lost and I have to move it on my wrist.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Happy with the restored 225

I used to have 220 and I liked it. It was a small adjustment at first to get used to the 225's size and weight, but having a heart rate monitor on the watch is a huge plus and well worth the modest extra weight. Refurbished after a month of use, works like new and I'm glad I chose the 225 and 220 again. I'm also glad I chose it over the 235 as the price difference is big and the smart features of the 235 appear more like extras. Both have the same stats that I'm looking for to track my runs and

Perfect investment to track and record my run

Love this watch! It was easy to use straight away. The information he provided was helpful, informative and easy to understand. The Garmin website was also easy to understand. I initially used the My Fitness app to track my calories, but eventually settled on the basic info that the watch simply provides. I leave it on all the time and find the sleep tracking very helpful! I would only buy this watch for activity tracking, but daily tracking has made it a regular part of my day. It's simple…

In general, this watch meets almost all the needs of a runner

Everything I need from a running watch. Does it track multisport and cross training? Not explicitly. You need to hack something to keep track of activities other than running. But it does have a built-in heart rate sensor, which is a big plus for those who don't want to track all types of devices while running. You can also pair it with an ANT+-enabled third-party heart rate monitor or pedometer, but I find that it offers those features to my satisfaction on its own. It also tracks daily…

I'm glad I have a Forerunner 225

. Watch looks and works like new. For watches sold as refurbished, that's all you could ask for. As soon as I synced it with Garmin Express, the software automatically updated to version 2.90. Love that they were 100% charged when I took them out of the Garmin REFURBISHED box - thanks for that. I decided to buy them refurbished because the previous 2 hours from Garmin had taken so long. The first is 10 years old, the second 6 years old. After charging, they work perfectly. Both used chest…
