Garmin Spray Shield

Does what it is supposed to. I had a small tail on the left side of my Yamaha F200, which I have a $185 hood guard for. So why not add another $30 to my OceanPro haha. Splash protection was a must for my GT-500 converter.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Worked for me at Marine GPS Accessories

My 1777 BW Montauk had a very bad cock tail. Salt water in the entire outboard is not good. Built in - no more tail. Agree with other comments that charging $25 for this is wrong. It was supposed to come with the converter, but I won't spoil the product for that.

Pros
  • Car & Vehicle Electronics
Cons
  • Modernity

Garmin needs to deal with Jesus

I haven't actually operated the boat since installing it so not sure if this solved my problem BUT like the other reviews it has funny they don't add it when they know they've made a design mistake large enough to make it necessary to sell the item in the first place. I mean, $20 plus for a piece of stamped stainless steel is insane.

Pros
  • Marine electronics
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...
