Gatco 4680 Channel 24 Inch Chrome Review

This is the mid-range. Not cheap and flimsy, but not heavy like the Moen I've installed in the past. The set of hexagonal screws is annoying. I would buy a quality brand like Moen before buying mid-range bathroom accessories again. I love the design and the look but I will spend a few bucks more to get a product that will last many years longer than this brand.

Holds my towels great. Nice hardware, looks good, well made. The sealing rings on the joints are particularly pleasant to the touch. I bought three racks and one of the hardware kits was missing set screws. An email to Gatco and 2 days later the set screws and a spare hex key were in my mailbox. First class customer service.

Item arrived quickly and was well packaged. My contractor installed a towel rail and it looked great. However, after only a few months it began to come loose at the point where the rod connected to the end part. We kept 2 bath towels on it. I've looked everywhere for towel warmers including my local hardware store and big department stores. The reason I chose this one was because of the look it gave. I like that the stem has a thickness that gives it an expensive look. Others I checked looked flimsy and cheap. While we really liked the quality and appearance of the product, we had some issues keeping the toilet roll holder and towel rail on the wall. We renovated our beach condo and bought all of the Gatco napkin holders, hooks and towel rails. The hooks weren't a big problem, but the toilet roll holder and towel rails were loose and we couldn't tighten them. Compared to other decent looking towel rails, this one is a steal. I'm not sure I'd buy it if the other options were the same price, but it does the job and looks like it's worth more than it actually is, so I'm happy with that. This towel warmer is above average and attractive enough. Like other reviewers, I sent the Grohe towel rail back because it was too close to the wall. This was the best similar style bar that fit in my space (there are some others with brackets that are too wide). The build quality and finish from Grohe was much better than this towel rail and the style was slightly better in my opinion, but functionality counts and this towel rail works much better.
