Good replacement part

Replaces the OEM hose and after a little trimming it fits well. The molding is good for OEM but the ends were too long. Nothing that couldn't be remedied by careful work with a razor.

Pros
  • Meets SAE 20R3 Type EC Class D-1 and D-2 specifications
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Works perfectly! for hose lines

Fits my 2003 Subaru Legacy 2.5L. This fits the water pump. It's easy to get to, especially when you change the water pump. Once you've loosened the clamps, twist the hose back and forth to break the seal. Then it jumps right up.

Pros
  • EPDM hose, synthetic fiber reinforcement, EPDM lining
Cons
  • Infuriates

Easy to change when replacing the water pump

If you are looking to replace the water pump in your Subaru, you should order this small hose. It connects the water pump to a pipe that runs next to the oil filter. I changed at 125,000 miles and the old hose didn't look that good and had brown dirt in it (not sure if it was oil or coolant conditioner). The new hose fitted perfectly and went smoothly.

Pros
  • Temperature range: -40 degrees. F to 275 degrees. F (-40 degrees C -135 degrees C)
Cons
  • Secret

I bought the upper and lower hoses from a new OEM.

I bought the upper and lower hoses with new factory clamps, new water pump, gaskets, original fluids, all surfaces were clean but the suction cup was leaking after a few miles turns out that you have to tighten the hose so much that there is a risk of breaking the composite radiator hose, very noticeable pressure points on the hose from the clamps, still leaking, on cold and warm days. The hose is cheaply made, stretches too much and cannot hold tight. The only thing it didn't do is POP but I'm

Pros
  • Designed to resist electrochemical degradation - the main cause of hose failure
Cons
  • sad packaging
