Leak good for power steering on day one

Replaced a fairly new line with this new one from Gates and it leaked right after start up. Instead, he will order a locally made hose.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • reliability

Be prepared for it to burst.

Absolute nonsense. I was on my second until it started leaking just like the first. Both failed during Revain's return window. Do yourself a favor and purchase Rock Auto's OEM Acdelco P/N 15295841 for $77.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not reliable

I jacked up the car, removed both front wheels and bled the system. The hose exploded at the pinch point when the wheel was completely locked up, putting 2 liters of fresh…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
