💧 Enhanced Performance Water Pump - Gates 41101 Review

Just made a pump, belt and tensioner on my dad's 2006 Pontiac Vibe (Base), bought all parts from Revain. Tons of money saved. This Gates pump looked and felt high quality, like a factory pump. But maybe that doesn't say much since the seals are gone with the factory pump for 70k.

Caution! The thickness of the two flanges (where the mounting holes are located) on this water pump may differ from the thickness of the original pump on your car! Check carefully before installation! The mounting bolts on my machine are different lengths and will not work with this pump. I had to go to the hardware store to get usable screws. Replaced the water pump on my 2007 Corolla. I'm not a mechanic by any means, but my dad is a mechanic so I learned a few things when I was younger so I was sure I could do it myself and save some money. I would give this thing five stars but I don't know if it still works. The design is different from the OEM for the Corolla 01, so the original two screws are too long as the OEM has thicker metal in the two screw holes and they are the same thickness. It would be nice if it required two shorter screws to use. Unfortunately, I don't have a car until I think of two shorter screws.
