Durable and lays flat on most surfaces

Round pad on base keeps stand perfectly flat on most surfaces. The workmanship is of high quality and the weight is considerable. I'm using it to hold a Marantz Professional MP3-3000 condenser microphone and so far it's doing the job perfectly. very satisfied.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Stable, wide range

I use this with a Rode Podmic and it works great. It can be adjusted to the perfect height and the heavy base is great as the Podmic is a fairly beefy mic. I also attached a regular pop filter, and while that part of it isn't perfect, it's the fault of my pop filter, not the stand! Another great product from Gator!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Hard to tell

DO NOT buy these if you are using a Shure SM7B microphone.

Do not buy these if you are using the SM7B microphone. They're sturdy and well built, but the handle for raising and lowering the mic is too big and puts pressure on the mic cable, bending it to the point where you become permanently static. The only way to prevent bending is to raise the mic higher, but the ideal height when using it on a table is all the way down. If the handles were smaller, that would be great.

Great purchase but missing parts.

Pros: The stand looks solid and stable. Just the right size for a table microphone. Excellent price. Cons: Don't try to be picky. My item just arrived and I noticed that it was missing (2 out of 3) small rubber feet. I checked the packaging to see they had been dropped and nothing was found. I wish someone would have done some sort of "quality check" before shipping. Without rubber feet, my wooden table would get scratched. I think I'll go to the hardware store.

Cheap mic stands that fall apart or break after a few weeks of use.

I own four of these as part of a mobile podcast studio. The plastic is cheap, it broke on two of them making them unusable without the gaff and tape. Often when unscrewing the microphone clip, the threads catch and the central screw holding the whole device together loosens and the whole stand falls apart. Spend a few bucks more and buy a better mic stand. I'm a professional front of house engineer and have been touring for over 8 years.

Excellent mic stand

I needed something a little taller than a tripod and I figured an adjustable one would work best. But I never use the customization. I keep it at the lowest level because it's already a bit high there. But at this height, my mic sits perfectly in line with my face, which is perfect for my dynamic mic. It's solid enough, even with a nearly 2-pound mic on it, it takes some force to knock it over. Has a rubber insert on the bottom that keeps it in place but also minimizes feedback when it hits the

i really like it But.

I really enjoy using this stand. The weighted base truly holds the stand, mic and dampener in a stationary position with no play or wobble. However, the stand is not flawless. For example, after just over a week of use, the threaded adapter (where you bolt the shock to) got stuck in a pair of my shocks. Thing is, I screwed the shocks onto the threads so tightly that they didn't rotate during use. When I tried to unscrew the shocks from the stand, the threaded adapter got stuck to my shock. As a
