I bought a small one 6 years ago. It's a good size for her, a standard three ring binder barely fits in. The material is very heavy, almost too heavy for a 6 year old, albeit more than a few things (daughter complained about how heavy it was for the first few days but wanted to use it anyway). I was a little skeptical about this bag as it's for a kid who can be rough on their backpack. It's only been 3 weeks and so far it's holding up really well.
