I was a bit hesitant to buy this based on some of the reviews but would definitely recommend this product extremely easy to use once done with it I threw it in the dishwasher and had no problems.

This thing DOESN'T WORK! It says put it in the microwave for 8 minutes, I waited at least 2 minutes for the "lava" to work. It never happened. I know it was only like $9, but that's the principle.

Item looked great but did not work as described. While the system was exceptionally easy to use (remove lid, add vinegar and water, replace lid), the water simply heated up during microwave cooking. As expected, there was no eruption.

Bought as a gift. I hope the recipients find them useful. Mine was only used 2 times. Seems to work. But then my microwave doesn't get a lot of spatter. The only disadvantage. I wish the water and vinegar lines prints were a different color. hard to find/see.

My microwave wasn't dirty but I decided to try it to see if it made cleaning easier. It's not like this. Followed directions, nothing softened inside. It might work at worst, but not mine. Also, it's difficult to see the lines to fill. It's also quite large and is now inconvenient to store. I'll probably throw it away. Save money and just use a bowl of water.

I bought this in hopes of making it easier to clean but it didn't help. The "eruption" is basically splashing vinegar water on the microwave, which does nothing to clean it. The result should have been steam, but it was more like the water just gushing over the walls of the volcano and not hitting any dirt in the microwave. I still had to rub it. I'd rather just use one bowl for best results.

Great stuff! I've always used vinegar to clean my microwave but I've never used steam before and I have to say the combination is amazing! It was so easy to use and fun to look at. My teens don't mind wiping up the trash after filling and reheating a volcano, and my microwave has never looked so clean and shiny. Definitely recommend to everyone!
