Range 40 miles with no trees, lot line.

40 mile range without trees, property line of course - maybe. Much less in the real world. Most of the train station towers around me are on a mountain 21 miles away. This antenna does not pick them up. I will try something else.

Don't waste time

Don't waste time. It's amplified, so you might think it works better than an unamplified antenna, but it isn't. The result is an antenna that requires a power supply (a real pain in the neck) that picks up half as many channels as before.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Quick start guide

I have had this antenna for over a year now. In general, he has an excellent signal. If there's a big storm and you can hit or miss a little, then overall I'm very happy. We receive all local channels and many popular series are played at night. Getting rid of that $60 monthly cable TV bill was worth it. Only works with new TVs, not big old school TVs.

  • TV antennas
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Not good in the Philadelphia, PA area

This doesn't work for people in the Philadelphia area since ABC(6), PBS(12), and ME(2) are on low VHF 6 remained, 12 and 2. This antenna does not pick up channels with such a low signal level. I'm 11.5 miles from the transmit antennas, so distance doesn't matter. All other networks that have switched to higher channels are working fine. Unfortunately, Revane says I can't go back because it's been over 30 days (35 since he arrived at the other house).

Pros
  • A/V Accessory
Cons
  • I'll add later

I had to take the TV and antenna outside and raise the antenna 10 feet in the air to pick up channels. As soon as I brought it in, not a single learned channel was displayed because the antenna didn't take off. Very weak despite being plugged in (amplified). The guide says that the channels are sometimes captured better when using no amplification and not using a direct connection to the TV. this worked even worse for me.
