I bought this machine to replace my old one which is similar it looks like my old one but with some changes. but i like how it works. My only complaint is that you can't turn down the volume without muting the message.

My 88 year old father needed it to replace his old one which was exactly the same and lasted more than 10 years. He couldn't learn to ride the newer ones we tried. He's used to that. For him it is easy and stress-free. That works great. He loves it and I'm so glad I found him.

My experience with it was ok. At least I have two or three years. The audio quality of the message is understandable, but could be significantly better. I don't get many calls and I just needed something to get messages from time to time when I'm away or reviewing calls. It has worked wonderfully - until now. This answering machine lost power after 1 month and when I plugged it in it beeped constantly and stopped working. I had a similar error with my previous GE autoresponder and had to throw them both out. I've never heard of this issue with other brands, but I should have known better as every GE unit I've ever had the misfortune to work with has broken.
