Works half the time, never

I've been using a GE Smart lightbulb for 5 years. Never. These bulbs are the most controversial smart home product I've ever bought. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, and there's no rhyme or reason for it. I've reset lightbulbs a few times, reset the whole house, reset smart speakers, whatever needed doing. I did everything Sometimes they turn on in the middle of the night, sometimes they just refuse to turn on, sometimes you're stuck in the middle of the day with a lightbulb at 10%โ€ฆ

Big. when they work.

super easy setup (with Google Home mini at least) and I was pleasantly surprised that everything worked the first time. Nice brightness and color. Unfortunately, however, every week the Google Home seems to get disconnected (Google Home can't find the lightbulbs) and I have to factory reset the lightbulbs. It was annoying enough, but about the last week or so they stopped working and weren't recognized by Google Home at all (even after a factory reset). I've tried everything (reset Google Homeโ€ฆ

DO NOT BUY. It's hard to know if it's programmed correctly without spending a lot of time.

DO NOT BUY. COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT. KEEP SEARCHING. The help and service person was terrible - didn't understand my questions - and was condescending. Also, the color temperature and transitions are very harsh and of poor quality after use. It flickers during use - regardless of the device. It's incredibly distracting. Need a lightbulb that I can program to change color temperature throughout the day, with: NO DIRECT INTERACTION other than turning on the light switch, NO ADDITIONAL APP STEPSโ€ฆ
