These are *non-polarized* plugs!

WARNING: This product description is incorrect - it says "GE Extension Plug Replacement 2-Pack Polarized 2 Pin 125VAC/15" but these are non-polarized plugs. I needed a polarized plug to make the lamp safer but it won't work. Don't buy them if you need polarized plugs.

ATTENTION! WILL NOT WORK WITH LAMP CABLE 18/2

I've swapped out plugs on lots of appliances and electronics and this is probably one of the worst designs I've seen. Ruined both plugs in the 2 pack. I've never seen a plug perform so poorly. This is what I get when I try to use a fork with no stripes. The next one will have the good old strap screws. Oh God.

ATTENTION! WARNING! Risk of fire or electric shock!

They are not polarized! Modern devices are equipped with a polarized plug, which ensures that the HOT power supply is not connected to touchable device components. This is a security feature. This plug can be plugged into an outlet in any orientation and a potentially fatal situation can result. This replacement plug should only be used with devices originally supplied with a non-polarized plug. you have been warned

Difficult to assemble, solves the problem

So this should be a no-strip solution, but the case isn't strong enough to cut a few wires. So you need to trim the ends slightly and make sure they line up where the blade would fall. If it is connected to the cable, then everything is fine. The cables sometimes don't fit properly in the case either, it can be difficult to maneuver the cables in the line, but if you don't do it right you won't be able to plug everything together. Overall this worked for me, the solution to my problem, and is a

Poor design fits cords, adapters and multiple sockets

For a while I've been trying to attach crimp terminals to screws for my 16 AWG wire. Although I've had very short connectors, they had a tough time getting the connector back together and breaking a few wires. A normal crimp connector will not work. Inside the plug is a piece of plastic that squeezes the wire tightly into a U-shape when closed. I had to cut the leads and just wrap the wire around the screws. It was a good fit at 16 gauge. I don't think anything else would fit as well. I think…

Worst replacement fork.

For decades I've done my fair share of electrical work, from replacing simple plugs to building computers and wiring an entire house from scratch. The day I used this plug, I installed a new LED neon strip above the stairwell, drilled holes to connect two rooms, hooked up a motion sensor, and installed a ceiling light at the top of the stairs. Almost the same time was needed to connect a lamp with this connector. It took a few tries and both plugs to get a connection working and I ended up…

Worked but not as described

When I first tried this plug I did as directed. I left the ends of the wires insulated and separated 1-1/8" of my two core cable and then fully inserted the two wires into the connector as shown in the picture and then closed the connector. Quite difficult to close. In the end I used my vise to clamp it in place then took it out of the vise and it opened up a bit but I used the screw provided to tighten the connector then I connected the other end to the light and plugged it in. Not a…
