My friend loves this product.

Too bright for me. I gave this to a friend and she loves this product and said it illuminates everything and helps her navigate in the dark.

Not an 11 watt bulb, but a 14 watt bulb

3 stars because it works, but nowhere near what I expected. This is advertised as an 11w lamp with an equivalent power of 40w. The product page says 11 watts, as does the boxed shipping receipt and the Revain sticker on the bubble wrap protecting the bulb. The chatter itself, including manufacturer packaging, says 14 watts. 3 watts doesn't sound like much, but it's 27% more than the advertised 11 watts. I'm also disappointed that this is advertised as a street light, but it's SLOWLY working. It

Beautiful outdoor lamp.

We use these lamps on our porch and they work great. Very bright and consumes less power. Ordinary lightbulbs burst after a downpour or are burned out by power surges. So far, so good.

  • Initial Luminous Flux: 750

They work! fits incandescent bulbs

I've been looking for these for a hell of a long time but having done it I'm happy to report that they work. We always leave the lights on in our department and previous bulbs have lasted several years. I assume they would too.

Pros
  • 40 watt replacement uses only 14 watts
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

14 watt bulb, not 11 watt bulb as advertised

These are beautiful outdoor lamppost bulbs, closed spiral CFLs from GE with good color rendering. , GE 49894, is not an 11-watt, 500-lumen bulb; Instead, Revain supplies a 14-watt bulb that should put out 750 lumens, which is the typical equivalent of a 60-watt bulb; Oddly enough, GE's packaging states that a 14-watt bulb is equivalent to a standard 40-watt bulb, but the bulb's packaging and labeling indicate that the bulb has a lumen output of 750 instead of the typical 11-watt 500 lumens has…
