Do you need a reset button

This product is missing a simple reset button. Once you get your first surge of electricity, this device is likely to become unusable. Seems like bad design to me.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • almost everything is fine

Defective Design - Surge Protectors

Center mounting screw does not align with center hole of outlet. This defect leads to the inoperability of the fastening screw. Did they even plug it into a regular outlet before going into production? Incorrectly constructed!

Pros
  • Cold
Cons
  • Expensive

Revainrating 1 out of 5

No more tangled cables.

Was hesitant to buy due to other reviews saying the screw didn't fit. For my situation I found the screw unnecessary. The charger fits snugly in my outlet and easily supports the weight of the phone. The main reason for choosing this charger over others was to eliminate the clutter of charging cords. I will buy at least one more.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Fits

Center screw hole does not match NORMAL (non-GFCI) outlets

As many other customers have said, this unit is not designed to be compatible with standard (non-GFCI) US outlets. The center screw required to mount this unit to the wall is about 1/16 inch too close to the bottom connector. This screw cannot be used to attach the device to an electrical outlet.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Does what it should. Type

The center screw used to hold this thing in the socket when the plug is removed does not match the screw in the socket. So it gets a little lost on the wall and you have to hold onto it when you peel something off so it doesn't fly out of the wall with what you peel off. Also, the wireless charging function is slow. Much slower than the dedicated 10W wireless charger I keep on my bedside table. I expect this wireless charger to charge at around 3-5 watts.

Mounting Screw - Extension Cord and Surge Filter

The mounting screw does not match, so you cannot permanently install this product. Called manufacturer support and he said they had never had any customer calls about the screw not queuing and started asking if I had any questions for him. Needless to say, there is no help. So I thought maybe I received a defective one, send it back and buy another one. Received immediately via Prime No, the screw does not fit. Clearly a production error. Send this one back too. Bad because I like the concept…

Pros
  • Finally Purchased
Cons
  • New Competitors Arrived

DANGEROUS DESIGN DEFECT - Fixing screw does not match base

DO NOT BUY THIS. DANGEROUS DEFECTIVE CONSTRUCTION - The mounting screw does not align with the outlet. Shame on a GE and UL branded product that doesn't see this easily spotted big flaw. Just shows how useless the UL ratings are. THIS ARTICLE MUST BE WITHDRAWAL. Amazon should refuse to sell this. This is an electric shock hazard. A similar product but not readily available is Prime PBUWC01. The outlets are spaced farther apart to allow the power adapter to fit and not block the other outlet…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I'll write later

Good product but definitely not one size fits all

Other reviews that say this product is not easy to install permanently are true. The outlet I was planning to use this with is already a GFCI outlet so basically I wanted to use this to be able to pick my phone off the bathroom stand and be able to charge it which is a bonus. I didn't use a screw because it fits the GFCI buttons. There is also a piece of plastic that needs to fit in the bottom hole of the top outlet, which I cut off because that didn't fit either. In general, if you don't mind,

Pros
  • Expand your outlets - add 2 USB ports and wireless charging to a standard outlet with GE's UltraPro surge protector with wireless charging.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
