I AM A PROFESSIONAL KJ AND HAVE STARTED AGAINTING ALL MY CDG FILES IN MY KJAMS LIBRARY. DO MY MACBOOK PRO INTERNAL DVD PLAYER FUCKED MY ENTIRE COMPUTER WHEN THE CD WAS RECEIVED. SO I HAD TO GET THE CD OUTSIDE WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM THE MAN ABOVE, BUT I HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE – FAST. THE REASON I HAVE THIS BECAUSE DAVE COTTER SAID IT WORKS GREAT WITH KJAMS. BOY IT ALWAYS WORKS! BEFORE IT TOOK 20 MINUTES TO RIP A CDG. WITH THIS NEW EXTERNAL IT TAKES 7 MINUTES! I CAN RIP THREE CDS TO RIP ONE WITH THE

This device was advertised as being able to read and write CDs and DVDs, but when I plugged it in I couldn't get it to identify a blank CD or DVD . To even plug it in I had to use a USB adapter that charges devices to charge them faster and provide the right voltage for the device to work.

No problems so far but I have to say I'm VERY careful with it. It seems like a fairly cheap build and for the price I can see why. By the way, I use it to copy karaoke music to my Mac.

This external DVD player does not work without a power adapter for my netbook. I even invested in a dual USB cable because my research showed it would suffice instead of an AC adapter. Not so. Now I'm looking for a power supply. Buyer Warning.

I bought this mainly to help me with my work. This comes in handy when rebooting the operating system on computers with defective CD/DVD drives or on laptops without one. So far I've only encountered one (very old) BIOS that doesn't support the 'boot from' option and I can't blame the drive for that.
