Pros & Cons but I bought more

Quality was good. I cranked the set screw down rather tight with no stripping issues. I even took one back off and cranked it on once again and it worked fine. The pins seemed durable and I had no issues with them. I would prefer two set screws on the body but all six sets that I used had no issues with a loose wire once the set screw was tightened. I would also prefer a copper body. The red and black sleeves that slide over the connectors stay on well but I'll be careful when I pull out the…

Pros
  • Designed to provide superior sound quality and performance
Cons
  • They may cause the speaker wires to fray or break over time

pretty good for the money

bare wire measures better but they add convenience if you move your gear a lot with no audible difference in sound. they are well made and have a positive connection with every terminal they have been attached to so far.

Pros
  • This product was easy to use and cheaper than any big box blue or orange store.
Cons
  • The plugs may not have a tight fit

Go bananas: my feedback

banana plugs are very handy and useful way to hook your speakers up there in particular do a great job with its two point wire attachment is locked and secured for sure.

Pros
  • Missing screwdriver and one piece but I had enough for what I had to do
Cons
  • The 90-degree angle may not be suitable for all installations

30 years veteran installer love this!

I love that I don’t get call backs because client can’t hear one or more speakers with the cheap banana plugs with leaf connectors. These work beautifully and make for a very tight secure connection.

Pros
  • On time and perfect application
Cons
  • The plugs may be overpriced compared to other options

Sized for the STR V5

Nicely made, the set screw securely holds the 16 guage wire I used. 14 guage would fit easily as well. I use them on vintage Sony and Pioneer receivers, where banana plugs are just too large to fit in the speaker output clips. The "pin" is tinned wire that the clip holds securely, since it's not smooth like typical pin connectors.

Pros
  • Great product!
Cons
  • The plugs may be difficult to remove

Used to connect speaker wires to A/V receiver. Straight pins might have been cleaner fit. Definitely better than trying to jam bare wire into the spring clips.

Pros
  • 90-degree angle adds versatility for installation
Cons
  • The plugs may cause the speaker wires to come loose

Aesthetically Pleasing, Short Upon Contact

I ordered these for my new receiver to keep the plugs looking clean, organized and easily swappable for my 6.1-speaker sound system. I am not overly experienced working with electrical equipment so these plugs were a little tedious to connect the wires to the plugs. This is not a knock on the product, just an observation. The product advertises anti-tripping however, when a plug contacts another plug, the system shorts. This is a deal breaker of a feature considering the right angle plugs are…

Pros
  • The caliber is samall for thick wire.
Cons
  • The plugs may break easily

Set Screws Too Long

The set screws are too long when using 12AWG wire for the cover piece to clear the screws and thread into the plug. I was required to file down the screws for the cover to thread into the plug body. Kind of frustrating for the amount paid.

Pros
  • Connected great with minimal work. I'll order more next time.
Cons
  • They may not work well with low-quality speaker wires

GearIT Flex Pin Plugs Work Great. No Shorts, No Problems

I recently re-cabled my Logitech amplifier and decided to purchase these these GearIT flex pin plugs to connect the amp to the speakers. The amplifier only has spring loaded connections and this is where these plugs work the best. I have not experienced any shorts or loose connections. I would recommend these to a friend.

Pros
  • Suitable for use in professional recording studios
Cons
  • The plugs may cause damage to the speaker terminals

First rate quality but found an issue

These are excellent speaker terminals with a caveat. The images don't really show the pins well. They are not cross cut posts, they are flexible braided copper wire that is gold plated so they conform to the spring terminals for good contact and current capacity. They look really nice also. There is one issue though that will limit installs. The outside barrels are conductive, so you will short circuit your amp if they ever touch. This rules them out for car stereo installs where lots of…

Pros
  • Compatible with a wide range of speaker wire sizes
Cons
  • The plugs may be unstable when connected

Excellent connectors!

Reviews talking about shorting are NOT about this connector. PVC sleeve completely covers base, mine came with shrink wrap held inside the barrell. Just enough to slip over the braided end to further avoid shorting. Screw firmly holds conductor. Solid connections.

Pros
  • Perfekt
Cons
  • They may not be compatible with all types of speaker connectors

A bit too long - my new review

These do satisfy the purpose of turning twisted stranded speaker wire into a secure feed for the spring terminals on the back of an audio amplifier. They come with a small screwdriver which has the right sized head for the small screws that are meant to bind down on the aforementioned wires but they have a few problems.1) The braided, gold piece is a bit too long to be fully inserted into the amplifiers spring clip receivers. They appear to be welded together at the end so I was reluctant to…

Pros
  • High-quality construction ensures long-lasting use
Cons
  • The spring clips may wear out quickly

Worked Great: my feedback

I bought these after getting another brand that would not work with wires smaller than 12 gauge. These worked fine with 16 gauge and even 22 gauge wires.

Pros
  • Well worth the money, made very well and no problems worked great
Cons
  • The plugs may not be durable

Look up a guide on how to use these properly.

There are no instructions, ensure you can strip speaker wire, and put it in correctly. Once they’re installed, I ran over the exposed metal with electrical tape to ensure I don’t get a short.

Pros
  • Just a single st screw to hold in place, but so far so good with 14 gauge wire
Cons
  • The non-conductive coating may not provide good conductivity
