Works when others fail.

This device worked where the others didn't. The ball joints I wanted to remove were on a 1999 Miata. Because these are original parts, corrosion has held them back for almost 20 years. I bought an old ball joint tool here from Revain a few years ago but it wouldn't move the bolts and broke in the process. Even Better Than Your Honor Roll Student

I have been doing suspension work from time to time for years. The job almost always ends with me sitting in a pile of rusty shavings with a sledgehammer and tie rod fork and cursing more than a truck driver in a traffic jam. This thing saves the lives of BMW rubber insulated ball joints!

I was trying to remove the original wishbones from my BMW Z3 to replace them and I spent days hammering the wishbones and knuckles and mutilating the old ball joints with a cucumber fork (of course I've done it several times penetrating oil used) . I loosened the inner ball joints with a cucumber fork, but I couldn't get the outer ball joints to come loose from the knuckles.
