GeeekPi Raspberry Pi 4 Case with ICE Tower Cooler - CPU Cooling Fan, Raspberry Pi 4 Case with Fan, Heatsink & Case for Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Review

I bought this item for the Ice Tower cooler because there was none without a case. The case "looked" cool, but I only needed the cooler because I have a Raspberry Pi 4b that I want to overclock. I tried to assemble the case, but the instructions are printed on a small card, it makes no sense, and on a card smaller than a business card, there are only 4 steps. After 20 minutes I removed it and gave up. Looks cool in the pics but be careful.

The cooler itself is excellent no complaints. But the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the acrylic layers that serve as the casing for your Pi. Firstly it is quite difficult to assemble and when you tighten the top 4 screws they tend to tilt which eventually causes one of the corners of the top layer to break. This is a combination of two items: the original ice tower with a built-in fan and an acrylic sheet case that also contains a fan that is usually mounted horizontally. Whilst I think the seller had this in mind there is no reason to sell these parts in a box. Even if you watch the awful "how-to" video in the description, all you'll see is the poor soul's struggle with the tiny, awkward bits until they're cut into the finished piece (in silence because the video doesn't have a contains sound). . As many other reviews have noted, the cooler and case are great products on their own, but it's clear they were never designed to work together. With a bit of creative assembly and missing one of the body layers, I managed to assemble everything very sturdily and am very happy with it. Installed a couple of these on a Raspberry Pi in my office and the next day I noticed several dazed fruit flies crawling around trying to take off again. It took me a while to figure it out, but this product's backlit fan and cooling fins combine to make a pretty good fruit fly shredder (while also cooling the Pi).
