💡 Versatile Lighting Solution: Genaray LED-7100T 312 LED Variable-Color On-Camera Light Review

Nephew Mui got it a long time ago and it lasts so long. Now I have mine and let's see if this one can last more than 5 years.

This lamp emits bright light. I was hoping to use if for photos but now I only use it for video apps. It is exactly as advertised and fits perfectly on my Canon's hot shoe.

Used as the key and fill light for a 3 point indoor interview light. There was plenty of room for more. Love the fact that it comes with two batteries and a carrying case with all your other essentials. Very high quality.

This is VERY bright. Fully dimmable and adjustable white balance. Covers what I need to do. The undersides are heavy and the bracket takes a minute to straighten and tighten. Oh, and the dimming/brightening is gradual, in case that matters. The adjustment knob is smooth, but the LEDs change gradually.

Light gets 5 stars, ball mount only 3 stars. As for the light, there is good illumination. and the choice of color temperature is great. We use them as camera lights in professional settings so I decided to buy them for personal video use as well. Really good light.

Used for photography. The shooting at the young gymnasts went on all day. Good light output, batteries lasted longer than expected. I also got a decent range from them (bought 2), more than I expected. I lost one star because I wanted to use it as a cold shoe, but there doesn't seem to be a way to fix it. It was too heavy and I was afraid it would fall off, so I had to put it on the floor at an angle. However, one of them almost gave me 2 points, so it was worth it.

I use this lamp for oil painting and I am very satisfied with the variable brightness and color temperature control. I bought a clamp (Impact Super Clamp T) and a Manfrotto 237HD Heavy-Duty Flex Arm for the Super. When assembled it attaches to my easel. No more color changing problems. I can work in low light. It is easy to carry and the battery life is good - it lasts for several hours. Replacement batteries are about $10 each, so I bought an extra set. Great for artists!
