Not enough time for thermometers and timers

Could have been extended 2-4 inches for easier maneuvering. Also, there seems to be an unreasonably high premium at Revain's $32 price point (which pales in comparison to GE's $135 list price).

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Upgradable

The right choice for the kitchen and dining room

One of my favorite features of my GE oven is the sensor/temperature function for roasting meat and poultry. My original sensor melted a bit and the wires were exposed so I needed a replacement. That's the exact part. Thank you Reven

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Almost everything included

Worked well but died after about 2 1/2 years of light use.

Why do we have to keep replacing them? They are not cheap and we use them maybe 5 times a year. That means I got about 10-12 uses (maximum) for my $38. It costs $3.80 per use. Not very frugal.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Periodicity

Do not pull the probe by the wire!

Before I read the manual that came with my new GE Profile dual-fuel range, I pulled the (extremely hot) probe on the cable. After 6 months of fairly constant use, the probe only worked sporadically. Oops, the instructions make it very clear that the dipstick must always be removed by the plastic handle at the very end. Lesson learned. Now it works great.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
