🚲 Bike Mule - Grocery Pannier Bags - Optimal Carrier Baskets for Shopping by Bicycle - Set Review

Bike Mule bags are the perfect size and stability for two large paper grocery bags. It does take some time to swing the leg over the pockets, but that's not really a problem. We also love how easy they are to transport between bikes and fold up when not in use.

The clips are too small to attach to my rear bike carrier despite the Velcro fasteners. Can the clips be replaced with wider and longer clips? Bags get thrown off the shelf even when you're out with a lot of groceries. Open to any suggestions or parts that can be provided.

I love how easy it is to attach the Bike Mule to the rack. They can stay closed on the way to the store and easily open to carry 2 standard sized large grocery bags as well. I didn't have any problems driving over bumps either, everything stayed in place. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys shopping on the bike or just needs to carry stuff while riding. The best thing about them is that they are very strong with an internal wire frame. The two hooks are on the left and right ends of each side so they hang towards the back of the bike, away from your (my) big feet. A standard shopping bag or reusable shopping bag slips in instantly and stays in place. They have mesh sides, so they're not waterproof. I wish the manufacturer had offered a waterproof lid or at least a stretch fabric top to tighten the top of the pockets to keep things inside, but…

First impression after initial installation. Limited design. Too high for me. Obviously the design wasn't made for different size bikes. This was designed for small bikes. I have a large mountain bike that I converted to an e-bike with 29" wheels. Mounting hooks are located in the middle of the bags, so you'll have to lightly smack someone on the head while balancing on one foot to secure the bike with groceries. I don't wear clothes often so it was necessary to put them on and off easily and nothing could be simpler than that. Last Sunday I took them to the farmers market for the first time and they worked like a dream. I was hesitant to buy it because I read the bad review but I'm glad I did! I was looking for the best way to transport things when pedaling. Hanging bags on the handlebars and carrying a backpack is outdated. It is great! They sit higher on the trunk than other guys I've seen but to be honest I think it's ok.
