    Works, but maybe not the best workmanship

    Perfect for my Lenovo 4Y10p. The screw holes for attaching the hard drive to the case feel a bit off as I was only able to fully insert three of the four screws. However, the product works and I haven't had any problems with it so far.

    Definitely a win. for data storage

    Easy to install. I didn't want to open my laptop, knowing I would still be using my existing "storage-only" hard drive, so the product allowed me to install an SSD in minutes.

    Only buy if you're willing to buy a pair

    The first chassis I ordered didn't work at all and couldn't be installed either because the screw holes were drilled in the wrong place became. I bought a second one rather than worrying about a replacement and it works just as well as you would expect for cheap materials and quality.

    Mine never worked!: Storage

    I'd love to trade a DVD/CD drive for the same 1TB container, but mine doesn't work! I formatted the drive in Windows and Linux and it doesn't read that hardware. The drive works fine on other machines, but not on this one. Also note that this ultra tank conversion will leave a significant gap between the underside of the chassis and the bogie.

    Would recommend if not looking for a fit/finish

    Just got this a few days ago and can't find any reason to love this product other than the fact that it was cheaper than other ultra bike caddies. The black bezel doesn't fit the holes on this cart, and two of the four screws that are supposed to hold the hard drive in place don't fit the hard drive either. When I tried to insert my SSD into the caddy, my SSD was "raised" at an awkward 20 degree angle, so I immediately pulled it out to protect the drive. It seems to work like it did when I…

    If Lenovo made a hard drive container, it would be identical to this one.

    This basket works as it should and fits into your computer almost as snugly as a standard CD drive. I was able to remove the front bezel from the CD drive and put it on the hard drive cage (don't be afraid to break the bezel, it will come loose). That makes it perfect for my laptop (y410p). A good buy if you are replacing the HDD with an SSD - the computer FLYS and you have all your old storage.

    Installed along with a Samsung SSD in my Lenovo Y410P. However, I had to replace the front panels with those from the CD drive. The plates can be removed with little effort and are interchangeable.

    Very satisfied, especially for the price!

    I am very happy with this purchase. Yes, shipping takes a little time (about 2 weeks for me), but the product WORKS! I have a 120GB SSD and after a week of testing it works great on my Y410P - no problem. Yes, the original frame is slightly different. But I was able to detach the bezel from the original DVD drive housing and it fits almost snugly on this cart, leaving almost no gap. I'm happy with that and glad I found this option for my laptop.

    Fits great but doesn't work.

    This was very easy to install and seems to fit my Levono Y410p perfectly. The exchange process was very easy. BUT. After installing my Adata SP-550 SSD, the computer didn't recognize it as present. It fits perfectly and snaps neatly into the computer's DVD slot. I thought I might have a bad SSD so I tried it in the external drive bay and the computer sees it fine. I then installed it back into the caddy and tried it on my other Y410P (my wife and I both have one) and it doesn't see it either…
