Adds an important missing feature to our car

I used this to add a homelink function to our 2016 Toyota Prius Two ECO and I am very happy with the distance at which the open function works. The installation was carried out by a professional. The frameless design looks very nice however the blackout doesn't reach the edges of the mirror which is a bit embarrassing and why it doesn't get 5 stars. Also, we have several drivers who leave fingerprints. Mirror every time someone adjusts the mirror.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Looks much better than the original

I bought this to replace the original mirror in my 2016 Mazda Miata. The OEM mirror already had Homelink and Autodim. The driver's side mirror also dims, and I believe that's also controlled by the mirror sensor. I was a little concerned if this would all work. It wasn't plug and play, but I was able to figure out the correct wire connections and everything has been working great for several months, including dimming the rear and driver's side mirrors. Looks great in the car!

  • Free for educational purposes

Great mirror, minimal instructions

Works great - indicator lights on the back look like magic. I wouldn't want to do without the automatic dimming function anymore, which is why I install it in all my cars. The wire harness it came with was just long enough to reach the circuit breaker. Instead of following the instructions, I lowered it onto the A-pillar and just used one of those lazy fuse box add-on circuits. itself is very well done.

Homelink Mirror Upgrade

This Homelink Mirror was just what I needed. I recently received a 2019 Nissan Rogue with a regular mirror. I didn't like using the hand controls to open the gate and garage every time. I went to Car Toys to fix this. You did it in 30 minutes. I don't know much about automotive electronics, so I didn't want to mess with it myself. They managed to remove the old mirror and it fitted perfectly onto the windshield mount. They hooked it up to a light sensor just above the mirror, so you barely…

Installed on a 2014 Honda CR-V - love HomeLink.

Installed this mirror on my wife's 2014 Honda CR-V. The installation wasn't easy, but after a few hours I managed it. The reason I bought this mirror was for the HomeLink remote control garage door opener. This works GREAT! About a block away my wife can open our garage door. The auto dimming feature works well, but not as well as I expected. In addition, the mirror does not hang as low as the original mirror. But it has a double articulated arm so you can get the right angle. Installation…

I wish I had received this sooner!

I chose this because my 2013 Ford F150 came with the stupid Car2U junk. After months of trying to get it to work (I even bought an extra transmitter), I finally gave in and bought it. A few more wires came out of my factory mirror that I never used. I found a 12v power supply from an existing wire harness and ground and wired them together. The hardest part was removing the old mirror, which Ford has a clip system for. I almost broke the windshield, but I took the old one off. Its transmission…

Installed in 2016 Nissan LEAF SV

When I bought my Nissan LEAF last year I didn't want the leather seats that came with the SL. This meant using a lower SV trim, which saved me some money but sacrificed HomeLink, among a few other nice things. The car came with a GenTex mirror in an old auto-dimming frame, but without HomeLink (or, for that matter, a button to turn off the dimming). Nissan's standard mirror also appeared to be inconsistent in dimming response; it often didn't dim enough, even to the point where I wondered if it

Pros
  • Good product for the price

Need additional bracket/extension for my 2018 RAV4 XLE

I installed this on my 2018 RAV4 GLE which has Lane Departure Warning. Because of this, there is a piece of plastic that covers the mount of the mirror on the windshield and an extension (50-BRKTEXT) needs to be installed to allow you to adjust the mirror properly. I don't blame the mirror for this problem as the installer would probably have known about it. What worries me a bit is the around 2mm thick border (right where the black plastic is likely to be on a regular mirror) that doesn't…
