🔌 Genuine Dyson DC14 Hose Assembly Gray - Part # 908474-37, Sold by Dyson Original Retailer Review

Perfect fit for my DC14. I don't know why I didn't order a replacement sooner, I was eyeing a Dyson replacement knowing I had a hole in my current hose thinking it wouldn't make much of a difference in cleaning could. It does. If you have a hole in your original hose, feel free to replace it with this one. It fitted my pet DC14 perfectly and completely restored suction. I have no reason to change it anymore, it works like new!

Does not stay attached to the wand, no locking mechanism. I was really hoping this part would work. Attaches perfectly to the base of the vacuum cleaner, slides perfectly on a stick, but. Without the ability to keep it from falling when using the suction wand, it just isn't fully functional. In the attached image you can see the purple block button on the original, and on the left is that block where it's missing :-(

It may be more expensive, but it's worth it! I used to buy a replacement hose from another manufacturer, but the hose didn't fit the hose properly. They were able to get it to work but it was a struggle and this hose wore out quicker than the original Dyson hose. I'm glad I bought this now as it fits the flex hose perfectly and I'm sure it will last for many many years, just like the original hose that came with my Dyson (I've had it for over 15 years ). years now). and still hold on!)

Our old Dyson DC14 Animal still works. It's definitely served us well for over a decade and I'm not sure what's stopping it from doing its job, especially as Revain makes buying spares easy and the Dyson design makes replacing old parts easy. The old hose line can simply be removed and the new one reattached. Ten minutes after opening the Amazon box, you're back to cleaning your messy house. Now all I need is a self-cleaning house.

The only problem with this replacement hose is that it needs to be modified to stay connected to the vacuum. If you look at my attached photos you can clearly see that the latch on the new/grey hose is bent towards the hose. In order to lock and stay attached to the vacuum, this tab needs to be straight (parallel to the hose) like the original/yellow hose in my photos. The only noticeable difference between this replacement hose and the original is that it has a small piece of plastic on the gray base (identical to the rest of the gray on the car) where the original on my Dyson DC14 Animal was purple. (Since this part fits ALL DC14 models, which come in a variety of colors, it makes sense to make the part fit all models.
