This is a great product and it fits perfectly. It seems sturdier than the original to be honest. Be sure to purchase pinion shaft bushings when replacing the derailleur.

Perfect! First time. It's nice to have a working overdrive switch again. Installation for a trained mechanic. Installing this unit on my 97 E-350 took about 45 minutes.

It really did fit and worked better than I thought. Not only did I get the overdrive lock back, but due to the design of the car they fixed, my cruise control worked again.

For your information. If you are replacing this, do yourself a favor and replace the bushings on the shift linkage that follows the steering column. Also, it's 8 bolts (double 4) to lower the steering column and I recommend doing this to get at the wire for this thing and swap out the bushings so you don't have to disassemble the dash. You just need to lower the line where the steering column is. Either way, my shifter feels basically new where it used to feel loose and worn. The end plastic…
